Gifts of Grace

³ For ^(A)by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you ^(B)not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, ^(C)each according to ^(D)the measure of faith that God has assigned. ⁴ For ^(E)as in one body we have many members,^[a] and the members do not all have the same function, ⁵ so we, ^(F)though many, ^(G)are one body in Christ, and individually ^(H)members one of another.

Marks of the True Christian

^9 (A)Let love be genuine. ^(B)Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. ^10 (C)Love one another with brotherly affection. ^(D)Outdo one another in showing honor. ¹¹ Do not be slothful in zeal, ^(E)be fervent in spirit,^{[a] (F)}serve the Lord.

^14 (A)Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. ^15 (B)Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. ^16 (C)Live in harmony with one another. ^(D)Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly.^{[a] (E)}Never be wise in your own sight. ^17 (F)Repay no one evil for evil, but ^(G)give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. ¹⁸ If possible, so far as it depends on you, ^(H)live peaceably with all. ¹⁹ Beloved, ^(I)never avenge yourselves, but leave it^[b] to the wrath of God, for it is written, ^(J)“Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
