²⁰ Now may ^(A)the God of peace ^(B)who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, ^(C)that great Shepherd of the sheep, ^(D)through the blood of the everlasting covenant, ²¹ make you ^[a]complete in every good work to do His will, ^(E)working in ^[b]you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Christ’s Example to Be Followed

4 Therefore, since Christ suffered ^[a]for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, ² that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, ^(A)but for the will of God.

¹⁷ For ^(A)the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, ^(B)so that you do not do the things that you wish.

³⁵ For whoever does the ^(A)will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.”

³ For this is ^(A)the will of God, ^(B)your sanctification: ^(C)that you should abstain from sexual immorality; ^4 (D)that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, ^5 (E)not in passion of lust, ^(F)like the Gentiles ^(G)who do not know God;
