¹⁶ Be in agreement with one another.^(A) Do not be proud;^(B) instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation.^(C)

Instructions to the Rich

¹⁷ Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be arrogant^(A) or to set their hope on the uncertainty of wealth, but on God,^[a] who richly provides us with all things^(B) to enjoy.

¹⁷ And if you address as Father the One who judges impartially^(A) based on each one’s work,^(B) you are to conduct yourselves in fear^(C) during the time of your temporary residence.
