²⁸ Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are ^(A)beloved for the sake of the fathers.

¹⁵ The Lord delighted only in your fathers, to love them; and He chose their ^[a]descendants after them, you above all peoples, as it is this day.

⁷ The Lord did not set His ^(A)love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were ^(B)the least of all peoples; ⁸ but ^(C)because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep ^(D)the oath which He swore to your fathers, ^(E)the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of ^[a]bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

⁷ What then? ^(A)Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were ^(B)blinded.

^5 (A)of whom are the fathers and from ^(B)whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, ^(C)who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.

⁴⁵ But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy; and contradicting and blaspheming, they ^(A)opposed the things spoken by Paul. ⁴⁶ Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, ^(B)“It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but ^(C)since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, ^(D)we turn to the Gentiles.

⁴³ “Therefore I say to you, ^(A)the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.

^15 (A)who killed both the Lord Jesus and ^(B)their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God ^(C)and are ^[a]contrary to all men, ^16 (D)forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, so as always ^(E)to fill up the measure of their sins; ^(F)but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.
