Romans 10:18-21

New American Standard Bible

¹⁸But I say, surely they have never heard, have they? On the contrary:

“^(A)Their voice has gone out into all the earth,
And their words to the ends of the ^[a]world.”

¹⁹But I say, surely Israel did not know, did they? First Moses says,

“^(B)I will ^(C)make you jealous with those who are not a nation,
With a foolish nation I will anger you.”

²⁰And Isaiah is very bold and says,

“^(D)I was found by those who did not seek Me,
I revealed Myself to those who did not ask for Me.”

²¹But as for Israel, He says, “^(E)I have spread out My hands all day long to a disobedient and obstinate people.”

¹⁸But I ask, “Didn’t they hear?” Certainly they did! In fact,

“Their voice has gone out into the whole world,
and their words to the ends of the earth.”^[a]

¹⁹Again I ask, “Did Israel not understand?” Moses was the first to say,

“I will make you jealous
by those who are not a nation;
I will make you angry
by a nation that doesn’t understand.”^[b]

²⁰And Isaiah boldly says,

“I was found by those who were not looking for me;
I was revealed to those who were not asking for me.”^[c]

²¹But about Israel he says,

“All day long I have held out my hands
to a disobedient and rebellious people.”^[d]
