⁴ and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power^[a](A) by his resurrection from the dead:^(B) Jesus Christ our Lord.^(C)

²⁵ He was delivered over to death for our sins^(A) and was raised to life for our justification.^(B)

¹⁰ For if, while we were God’s enemies,^(A) we were reconciled^(B) to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!^(C)

¹⁷ For if, by the trespass of the one man, death^(A) reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life^(B) through the one man, Jesus Christ!

⁴ We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death^(A) in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead^(B) through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.^(C)

⁵ For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.^{(D) 6} For we know that our old self^(E) was crucified with him^(F) so that the body ruled by sin^(G) might be done away with,^[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin^(H)— ⁷ because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.^(I)

⁸ Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.^{(J) 9} For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead,^(K) he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.^{(L) 10} The death he died, he died to sin^(M) once for all;^(N) but the life he lives, he lives to God.

¹¹ And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead^(A) is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies^(B) because of^[a] his Spirit who lives in you.

³⁴ Who then is the one who condemns?^(A) No one. Christ Jesus who died^(B)—more than that, who was raised to life^(C)—is at the right hand of God^(D) and is also interceding for us.^(E)
