²⁴ Therefore ^(A)God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to ^(B)the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,

²⁶ For this reason ^(A)God gave them up to ^(B)dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature;

²⁸ And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, ^(A)God gave them up to ^(B)a debased mind to do ^(C)what ought not to be done.

⁷ What then? ^(A)Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest ^(B)were hardened, ⁸ as it is written,
