Romans 9:31

³¹but Israel, ^(A)pursuing the law of righteousness, ^(B)has not attained to the law ^[a]of righteousness.

Romans 9:31

New International Version

³¹but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness,^(A) have not attained their goal.^(B)

³²Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were, ^[a]by the works of the law. For ^(A)they stumbled at that stumbling stone.

³²Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone.^(A)
