Present Condition of Israel
30 What shall we say then? (A)That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have attained to righteousness, (B)even the righteousness of faith; 31 but Israel, (C)pursuing the law of righteousness, (D)has not attained to the law [a]of righteousness. 32 Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were, [b]by the works of the law. For (E)they stumbled at that stumbling stone. 33 As it is written:
(F)“Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense,
And (G)whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; 33 as it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

30 ¿Qué, pues, diremos? Que los gentiles, que no iban tras la justicia, han alcanzado la justicia, es decir, la justicia que es por fe; 31 mas Israel, que iba tras una ley de justicia, no la alcanzó. 32 ¿Por qué? Porque iban tras ella no por fe, sino como por obras de la ley, pues tropezaron en la piedra de tropiezo, 33 como está escrito:
He aquí pongo en Sion piedra de tropiezo y roca de caída;
Y el que creyere en él, no será avergonzado.(A)
