8 and those who are (A)in the flesh cannot please God.
9 However, you are not (B)in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God (C)dwells in you. But (D)if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 10 (E)If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is [a]alive because of righteousness.

8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh(A) cannot please God.
9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh(B) but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you.(C) And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ,(D) they do not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you,(E) then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life[a] because of righteousness.
