6 For (A)to be [a]carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because (B)the [b]carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, (C)nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

6 The mind governed by the flesh is death,(A) but the mind governed by the Spirit is life(B) and peace. 7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God;(C) it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh(D) cannot please God.
