21 I find then (A)the [a]principle that in me evil is present—in me who wants to do good. 22 For I joyfully concur with the law of God [b]in (B)the inner man, 23 but I see (C)a different law in my members, waging war against the (D)law of my mind and making me a captive [c]to (E)the law of sin which is in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from [d](F)the body of this (G)death? 25 [e](H)Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh (I)the law of sin.

Who will rescue me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be[b] to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself with my mind am enslaved to the law of God, but with my flesh I am enslaved to the law of sin.

Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?(F) 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!(G)
So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law,(H) but in my sinful nature[a] a slave to the law of sin.(I)
