¹⁰ For ^[a]the death that He died, He died to sin once for all time; but ^[b]the life that He lives, He lives to ^[c]God. ¹¹ So you too, consider yourselves to be ^(A)dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

¹² Therefore sin is not to ^(B)reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, ¹³ and do not go on ^(C)presenting ^[d]the parts of your body to sin as ^[e]instruments of unrighteousness; but ^(D)present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead, and ^[f]your body’s parts as ^[g]instruments of righteousness for God.

^19 (A)I am speaking ^[a]in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just ^(B)as you presented ^[b]the parts of your body as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, ^[c]resulting in further lawlessness, so now present ^[d]your body’s parts as slaves to righteousness, ^[e]resulting in sanctification.

²² But now having been ^(A)freed from sin and ^(B)enslaved to God, you ^[a]derive your ^[b](C)benefit, ^[c]resulting in sanctification, and ^(D)the outcome, eternal life.
