5 For if we have been planted together in him in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection,
6 knowing this: that our old man is crucified with him that the body of sin might be destroyed that we should not serve sin any longer.
7 For he that is dead is justified from sin.
8 Now if we die with the Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him,
9 knowing that the Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more; death has no more dominion over him.
10 For he that is dead died unto sin once, and he that lives, lives unto God.
11 Likewise also reckon yourselves to be truly dead unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ, Jesus, our Lord.

5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.(A) 6 For we know that our old self(B) was crucified with him(C) so that the body ruled by sin(D) might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin(E)— 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.(F)
8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.(G) 9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead,(H) he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.(I) 10 The death he died, he died to sin(J) once for all;(K) but the life he lives, he lives to God.
11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin(L) but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
