Romans 4:18-19

18 (A) God promised Abraham a lot of descendants. And when it all seemed hopeless, Abraham still had faith in God and became the ancestor of many nations. 19 (B) Abraham's faith never became weak, not even when he was nearly 100 years old. He knew he was almost dead and that his wife Sarah could not have children.

18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations,(A) just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”[a](B) 19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead(C)—since he was about a hundred years old(D)—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.(E)
