Romans 2:5-11

5 But by your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.(A) 6 He will repay according to each one’s deeds:(B) 7 to those who by patiently doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life, 8 while for those who are self-seeking and who obey not the truth but injustice, there will be wrath and fury.(C) 9 There will be affliction and distress for everyone who does evil, both the Jew first and the Greek,(D) 10 but glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, both the Jew first and the Greek. 11 For God shows no partiality.(E)

5 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath(A), when his righteous judgment(B) will be revealed. 6 God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”[a](C) 7 To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor(D) and immortality,(E) he will give eternal life.(F) 8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil,(G) there will be wrath and anger.(H) 9 There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil:(I) first for the Jew, then for the Gentile;(J) 10 but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.(K) 11 For God does not show favoritism.(L)
