¹⁹ Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace^(A) and to mutual edification.^{(B) 20} Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food.^(C) All food is clean,^(D) but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble.^{(E) 21} It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother or sister to fall.^(F)

²² So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn^(G) himself by what he approves. ²³ But whoever has doubts^(H) is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.^[a]

²⁵ Now to him who is able^(A) to establish you in accordance with my gospel,^(B) the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery^(C) hidden for long ages past, ²⁶ but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings^(D) by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from^[a] faith^(E)— ²⁷ to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.^(F)
