Humble Service in the Body of Christ

³ For by the grace given me^(A) I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

¹⁵ Neither do we go beyond our limits^(A) by boasting of work done by others.^(B) Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow,^(C) our sphere of activity among you will greatly expand, ¹⁶ so that we can preach the gospel^(D) in the regions beyond you.^(E) For we do not want to boast about work already done in someone else’s territory. ¹⁷ But, “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”^{[a](F) 18} For it is not the one who commends himself^(G) who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.^(H)
