² God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew.^(A) Or don’t you know^(B) what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah—how he pleads with God against Israel?

¹⁶ Don’t you yourselves know that you are God’s temple^(A) and that the Spirit of God lives in you?^(B)

⁶ Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little leaven^[a](A) leavens the whole batch of dough?^(B)

² Or don’t you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the trivial cases? ³ Don’t you know that we will judge angels—how much more matters of this life?

⁹ Don’t you know that the unrighteous^(A) will not inherit God’s kingdom?^(B) Do not be deceived: No sexually immoral people, idolaters,^(C) adulterers,^(D) or males who have sex with males,^[a](E)

¹⁵ Don’t you know that your bodies are a part of Christ’s body?^(A) So should I take a part of Christ’s body and make it part of a prostitute? Absolutely not! ¹⁶ Don’t you know that anyone joined to a prostitute is one body with her? For Scripture says, The two will become one flesh.^[a](B)

¹⁹ Don’t you know that your body is a temple^(A) of the Holy Spirit^(B) who is in you,^(C) whom you have from God? You are not your own,

¹³ Don’t you know that those who perform the temple services eat the food from the temple, and those who serve at the altar^(A) share in the offerings of the altar?

²⁴ Don’t you know that the runners in a stadium all race,^(A) but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way to win the prize.^(B)
