Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle and separated unto the Gospel of God,

which He had promised before by His prophets in the Holy Scriptures,

concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was made of the seed of David according to the flesh,

and was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness by the resurrection from the dead,

by whom we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name,

among whom ye also are the called of Jesus Christ.

To all who are in Rome, beloved of God and called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

10 “Take from them of the captivity — even from Heldai, from Tobijah, and from Jedaiah, who have come from Babylon — and come thou the same day and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah.

11 Then take silver and gold and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest,

12 and speak unto him, saying, ‘Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, “Behold the Man whose name is The Branch! And He shall grow up out of His place, and He shall build the temple of the Lord.

13 Even He shall build the temple of the Lord; and He shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon His throne. And He shall be a priest upon His throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.”’

14 “And the crowns shall be for Helem and for Tobijah and for Jedaiah, and for Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the Lord.

15 And those who are far off shall come and build the temple of the Lord, and ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent Me unto you. And this shall come to pass if ye will diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.”

A Crown for Joshua

The word of the Lord came to me: 10 “Take silver and gold from the exiles Heldai, Tobijah and Jedaiah, who have arrived from Babylon.(A) Go the same day to the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah. 11 Take the silver and gold and make a crown,(B) and set it on the head of the high priest, Joshua(C) son of Jozadak.[a](D) 12 Tell him this is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Here is the man whose name is the Branch,(E) and he will branch out from his place and build the temple of the Lord.(F) 13 It is he who will build the temple of the Lord, and he will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he[b] will be a priest(G) on his throne. And there will be harmony between the two.’ 14 The crown will be given to Heldai,[c] Tobijah, Jedaiah and Hen[d] son of Zephaniah as a memorial(H) in the temple of the Lord. 15 Those who are far away will come and help to build the temple of the Lord,(I) and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.(J) This will happen if you diligently obey(K) the Lord your God.”
