14 I am obligated both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish, 15 hence my eagerness to proclaim the gospel to you also who are in Rome.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel; it is God’s saving power for everyone who believes,[a] for the Jew first and also for the Greek.(A) 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith, as it is written, “The one who is righteous will live by faith.”[b](B)

14 I am obligated(A) both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish. 15 That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are in Rome.(B)
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel,(C) because it is the power of God(D) that brings salvation to everyone who believes:(E) first to the Jew,(F) then to the Gentile.(G) 17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed(H)—a righteousness that is by faith(I) from first to last,[a] just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”[b](J)
