2 Si Dios lo hubiera aceptado por todo lo que hizo, entonces podría sentirse orgulloso ante nosotros. Pero ante Dios no podía sentirse orgulloso de nada. 3 La Biblia dice:
«Dios aceptó a Abraham
porque Abraham confió en Dios.»
4 Ahora bien, el dinero que se le paga a alguien por un trabajo no es ningún regalo, sino algo que se le debe.

2 If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about—but not before God.(A) 3 What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”[a](B)
4 Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift(C) but as an obligation.
