5 “Mas”, dirá alguém, “se a nossa injustiça serve para estabelecer a justiça de Deus, que havemos de dizer? Não será Deus injusto ao exercer a sua ira?” (Estou a expressar-me de um ponto de vista humano.) 6 De forma alguma! Como poderia ele assim julgar o mundo? 7 E se a verdade divina abundou por causa da minha mentira, a fim de ele ser glorificado, por que razão sou condenado como pecador?

5 But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust who inflicts wrath? (A)(I speak as a man.) 6 Certainly not! For then (B)how will God judge the world?
7 For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?
