10 Hermanos, el deseo de mi corazón y mi oración a Dios por ellos[a] es para su salvación. 2 Porque yo testifico a su favor de que tienen celo de Dios(A), pero no conforme a un pleno conocimiento. 3 Pues desconociendo la justicia de Dios y procurando establecer la suya propia(B), no se sometieron a la justicia de Dios(C). 4 Porque Cristo es el fin[b] de la ley para justicia a todo aquel que cree(D).
Cómo ser salvo
5 Pues Moisés escribe que el hombre que practica la justicia que es de la ley, vivirá por ella(E). 6 Pero la justicia que es de la fe(F), dice así: «No digas en tu corazón: “¿Quién subirá al cielo(G)?”. Esto es, para hacer bajar a Cristo, 7 o “¿Quién descenderá al abismo(H)?”. Esto es, para subir a Cristo de entre los muertos(I)».
8 Pero, ¿qué dice? «Cerca de ti está la palabra, en tu boca y en tu corazón(J)», es decir, la palabra de fe que predicamos: 9 que si confiesas con tu boca a Jesús por Señor(K), y crees en tu corazón que Dios lo resucitó de entre los muertos, serás salvo(L). 10 Porque con el corazón se cree para justicia, y con la boca se confiesa para salvación.
11 Pues la Escritura dice: «Todo el que cree en Él no será avergonzado(M)». 12 Porque no hay distinción entre judío y griego(N), pues el mismo Señor es Señor de todos(O), abundando en riquezas para todos los que le invocan; 13 porque: «Todo aquel que invoque el nombre del Señor será salvo(P)».
14 ¿Cómo, pues, invocarán a Aquel en quien no han creído? ¿Y cómo creerán en Aquel de[c] quien no han oído(Q)? ¿Y cómo oirán sin haber quien les predique(R)? 15 ¿Y cómo predicarán si no son enviados? Tal como está escrito: «¡Cuán hermosos son los pies[d] de los que anuncian el evangelio del bien[e](S)!».
Israel rechaza el evangelio
16 Sin embargo, no todos hicieron caso al evangelio(T), porque Isaías dice: «Señor, ¿quién ha creído a nuestro anuncio(U)?». 17 Así que la fe viene del oír(V), y el oír, por la palabra de Cristo(W).
18 Pero yo digo, ¿acaso nunca han oído? Ciertamente que sí:
19 Y añado[g]: ¿Acaso Israel no sabía? En primer lugar, Moisés dice:
«Yo los provocaré a celos con un pueblo que no es pueblo;
Con un pueblo sin entendimiento los provocaré a ira(Y)».
20 E Isaías es muy osado, y dice:
21 Pero en cuanto a Israel, dice: «Todo el día he extendido Mis manos a un pueblo desobediente y rebelde(AA)».

10 Frères, le voeu de mon coeur et ma prière à Dieu pour eux, c'est qu'ils soient sauvés.
2 Je leur rends le témoignage qu'ils ont du zèle pour Dieu, mais sans intelligence:
3 ne connaissant pas la justice de Dieu, et cherchant à établir leur propre justice, ils ne se sont pas soumis à la justice de Dieu;
4 car Christ est la fin de la loi, pour la justification de tous ceux qui croient.
5 En effet, Moïse définit ainsi la justice qui vient de la loi: L'homme qui mettra ces choses en pratique vivra par elles.
6 Mais voici comment parle la justice qui vient de la foi: Ne dis pas en ton coeur: Qui montera au ciel? c'est en faire descendre Christ;
7 ou: Qui descendra dans l'abîme? c'est faire remonter Christ d'entre les morts.
8 Que dit-elle donc? La parole est près de toi, dans ta bouche et dans ton coeur. Or, c'est la parole de la foi, que nous prêchons.
9 Si tu confesses de ta bouche le Seigneur Jésus, et si tu crois dans ton coeur que Dieu l'a ressuscité des morts, tu seras sauvé.
10 Car c'est en croyant du coeur qu'on parvient à la justice, et c'est en confessant de la bouche qu'on parvient au salut, selon ce que dit l'Écriture:
11 Quiconque croit en lui ne sera point confus.
12 Il n'y a aucune différence, en effet, entre le Juif et le Grec, puisqu'ils ont tous un même Seigneur, qui est riche pour tous ceux qui l'invoquent.
13 Car quiconque invoquera le nom du Seigneur sera sauvé.
14 Comment donc invoqueront-ils celui en qui ils n'ont pas cru? Et comment croiront-ils en celui dont ils n'ont pas entendu parler? Et comment en entendront-ils parler, s'il n'y a personne qui prêche?
15 Et comment y aura-t-il des prédicateurs, s'ils ne sont pas envoyés? selon qu'il est écrit: Qu'ils sont beaux Les pieds de ceux qui annoncent la paix, De ceux qui annoncent de bonnes nouvelles!
16 Mais tous n'ont pas obéi à la bonne nouvelle. Aussi Ésaïe dit-il: Seigneur, Qui a cru à notre prédication?
17 Ainsi la foi vient de ce qu'on entend, et ce qu'on entend vient de la parole de Christ.
18 Mais je dis: N'ont-ils pas entendu? Au contraire! Leur voix est allée par toute la terre, Et leurs paroles jusqu'aux extrémités du monde.
19 Mais je dis: Israël ne l'a-t-il pas su? Moïse le premier dit: J'exciterai votre jalousie par ce qui n'est point une nation, je provoquerai votre colère par une nation sans intelligence.
20 Et Ésaïe pousse la hardiesse jusqu'à dire: J'ai été trouvé par ceux qui ne me cherchaient pas, Je me suis manifesté à ceux qui ne me demandaient pas.
21 Mais au sujet d'Israël, il dit: J'ai tendu mes mains tout le jour vers un peuple rebelle Et contredisant.

10 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
