8 Aşadar, acum nu mai este nici o condamnare pentru cei ce sunt în Cristos Isus (care nu trăiesc potrivit cu firea[a], ci potrivit cu Duhul)[b]. 2 Căci legea Duhului vieţii în Cristos Isus te-a[c] eliberat de legea păcatului şi a morţii. 3 Fiindcă ceea ce era cu neputinţă pentru Lege, întrucât era făcută neputincioasă de fire[d], Dumnezeu a înfăptuit trimiţând, din pricina păcatului, pe propriul Său Fiu, în asemănarea firii păcătoase, şi condamnând astfel păcatul în fire, 4 pentru ca cerinţa dreaptă a Legii să fie împlinită în noi, care nu trăim potrivit cu firea, ci potrivit cu Duhul. 5 Într-adevăr, cei ce trăiesc potrivit cu firea se gândesc la lucrurile firii, însă cei ce trăiesc potrivit cu Duhul se gândesc la lucrurile Duhului. 6 Căci preocuparea pentru fire este moarte, însă preocuparea pentru lucrurile Duhului este viaţă şi pace. 7 Şi aceasta, deoarece preocuparea pentru fire este duşmănie faţă de Dumnezeu, căci ea nu se supune Legii lui Dumnezeu şi nici nu poate s-o facă. 8 Deci cei ce sunt în fire nu-I pot fi plăcuţi lui Dumnezeu. 9 Voi însă nu mai sunteţi în fire, ci în Duhul, dacă într-adevăr Duhul lui Dumnezeu locuieşte în voi. Dar dacă cineva nu are Duhul lui Cristos, atunci nu este al Lui. 10 Dacă însă Cristos este în voi, trupul vostru este mort, din cauza păcatului, dar Duhul este viaţa voastră[e], datorită dreptăţii. 11 Şi dacă Duhul Celui Ce L-a înviat pe Isus din morţi locuieşte în voi, atunci Cel Ce L-a înviat pe Cristos din morţi le va da viaţă şi trupurilor voastre muritoare, prin Duhul Lui Care locuieşte în voi.
12 Deci, fraţilor, noi nu suntem datori faţă de fire, ca să trăim potrivit ei! 13 Pentru că, dacă trăiţi potrivit firii, veţi muri, dar dacă, prin Duhul, daţi morţii faptele trupului, veţi trăi! 14 Căci toţi care sunt călăuziţi de Duhul lui Dumnezeu sunt fii ai lui Dumnezeu. 15 Fiindcă voi n-aţi primit un duh de sclavie, ca să vă fie din nou teamă, ci aţi primit Duhul înfierii[f] prin care strigăm: „Abba!“[g], adică „Tată!“ 16 Duhul Însuşi depune mărturie, împreună cu duhul nostru, că suntem copii ai lui Dumnezeu. 17 Iar dacă suntem copii, suntem şi moştenitori – moştenitori ai lui Dumnezeu, moştenitori împreună cu Cristos, dacă suferim într-adevăr împreună cu El, ca să putem fi şi proslăviţi împreună cu El.
Slava care ne aşteaptă
18 Căci consider că suferinţele din vremea de acum nu sunt vrednice să fie puse alături de slava viitoare, care urmează să ne fie descoperită. 19 Chiar şi creaţia aşteaptă cu nerăbdare descoperirea fiilor lui Dumnezeu, 20 întrucât creaţia a fost supusă deşertăciunii, – nu pentru că a vrut ea, ci datorită Celui Ce a supus-o –, în nădejdea 21 că şi creaţia însăşi va fi eliberată din sclavia degradării şi adusă în libertatea glorioasă a copiilor lui Dumnezeu. 22 Noi ştim că, până acum, întreaga creaţie geme şi suferă durerile naşterii. 23 Şi nu numai ea, ci şi noi înşine, care avem primul rod[h], adică Duhul[i], gemem în noi înşine, aşteptând înfierea, răscumpărarea trupurilor noastre. 24 Căci în această nădejde am fost mântuiţi. Dar o nădejde care se vede nu mai este nădejde! Fiindcă, cine mai nădăjduieşte în ceea ce vede deja?! 25 Dacă însă nădăjduim în ceea ce nu vedem, atunci aşteptăm cu răbdare.
26 În acelaşi fel, Duhul ne ajută în slăbiciunea noastră, pentru că noi nu ştim cum ar trebui[j] să ne rugăm, ci Duhul Însuşi mijloceşte cu suspine nerostite[k]; 27 însă Cel Care cercetează inimile, cunoaşte care este gândirea Duhului, pentru că Acesta mijloceşte pentru sfinţi potrivit cu voia lui Dumnezeu.
Victorie deplină prin Cel Care ne-a iubit
28 Noi ştim că toate lucrează împreună[l] spre binele celor ce-L iubesc pe Dumnezeu, al celor ce sunt chemaţi în conformitate cu planul Său. 29 Căci pe cei pe care i-a cunoscut mai dinainte, El i-a şi hotărât mai dinainte să fie asemenea chipului Fiului Său, ca Acesta să fie primul născut dintre mai mulţi fraţi. 30 Şi pe aceia pe care i-a hotărât mai dinainte, i-a şi chemat; pe aceia pe care i-a chemat, i-a şi îndreptăţit; iar pe aceia pe care i-a îndreptăţit, i-a şi glorificat.
31 Ce vom spune deci despre aceste lucruri? Dacă Dumnezeu este pentru noi, cine va fi împotriva noastră?! 32 El, Care nu Şi-a cruţat propriul Său Fiu, ci L-a dat pentru noi toţi, cum nu ne va da, împreună cu El, toate lucrurile?! 33 Cine va aduce vreo acuzaţie împotriva aleşilor lui Dumnezeu? Dumnezeu este Cel Care-i îndreptăţeşte. 34 Cine este cel care-i va condamna? Cristos Isus, Cel Care a murit şi Care, mai mult decât atât, a fost înviat, este la dreapta lui Dumnezeu şi mijloceşte pentru noi. 35 Cine ne va despărţi de dragostea lui Cristos? Necazul, sau greutăţile, sau persecuţia, sau foametea, sau lipsa de îmbrăcăminte, sau pericolul, sau sabia? 36 Aşa cum este scris:
„Din pricina Ta suntem daţi morţii toată ziua,
suntem consideraţi ca nişte oi pentru tăiere.“[m]
37 Însă, în toate aceste lucruri, noi avem victorie deplină prin Cel Care ne-a iubit. 38 Eu sunt convins că nici moartea, nici viaţa, nici îngerii, nici demonii[n] , nici lucrurile prezente, nici cele viitoare, nici puterile, 39 nici înălţimea, nici adâncimea, nici orice altceva din creaţie nu vor fi în stare să ne despartă de dragostea lui Dumnezeu, care este în Cristos Isus, Domnul nostru!

Life Through the Spirit
8 Therefore, there is now no condemnation(A) for those who are in Christ Jesus,(B) 2 because through Christ Jesus(C) the law of the Spirit who gives life(D) has set you[a] free(E) from the law of sin(F) and death. 3 For what the law was powerless(G) to do because it was weakened by the flesh,[b](H) God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh(I) to be a sin offering.[c](J) And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement(K) of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.(L)
5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires;(M) but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.(N) 6 The mind governed by the flesh is death,(O) but the mind governed by the Spirit is life(P) and peace. 7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God;(Q) it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh(R) cannot please God.
9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh(S) but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you.(T) And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ,(U) they do not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you,(V) then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life[d] because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead(W) is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies(X) because of[e] his Spirit who lives in you.
12 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it.(Y) 13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die;(Z) but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body,(AA) you will live.(AB)
14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God(AC) are the children of God.(AD) 15 The Spirit(AE) you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again;(AF) rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[f] And by him we cry, “Abba,[g] Father.”(AG) 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit(AH) that we are God’s children.(AI) 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs(AJ)—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings(AK) in order that we may also share in his glory.(AL)
Present Suffering and Future Glory
18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.(AM) 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God(AN) to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it,(AO) in hope 21 that[h] the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay(AP) and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.(AQ)
22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning(AR) as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit,(AS) groan(AT) inwardly as we wait eagerly(AU) for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.(AV) 24 For in this hope we were saved.(AW) But hope that is seen is no hope at all.(AX) Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.(AY)
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit(AZ) himself intercedes for us(BA) through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts(BB) knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes(BC) for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good(BD) of those who love him, who[i] have been called(BE) according to his purpose.(BF) 29 For those God foreknew(BG) he also predestined(BH) to be conformed to the image of his Son,(BI) that he might be the firstborn(BJ) among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined,(BK) he also called;(BL) those he called, he also justified;(BM) those he justified, he also glorified.(BN)
More Than Conquerors
31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things?(BO) If God is for us,(BP) who can be against us?(BQ) 32 He who did not spare his own Son,(BR) but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge(BS) against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns?(BT) No one. Christ Jesus who died(BU)—more than that, who was raised to life(BV)—is at the right hand of God(BW) and is also interceding for us.(BX) 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?(BY) Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?(BZ) 36 As it is written:
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors(CB) through him who loved us.(CC) 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future,(CD) nor any powers,(CE) 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God(CF) that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.(CG)

将来的荣耀

上帝的爱

La vita nello Spirito
8 Non c'è dunque più nessuna condanna per quelli che sono in Cristo Gesù. 2 Poiché la legge dello Spirito che dà vita in Cristo Gesù ti ha liberato dalla legge del peccato e della morte. 3 Infatti ciò che era impossibile alla legge, perché la carne la rendeva impotente, Dio lo ha reso possibile: mandando il proprio Figlio in una carne simile a quella del peccato e in vista del peccato, egli ha condannato il peccato nella carne, 4 perché la giustizia della legge si adempisse in noi, che non camminiamo secondo la carne ma secondo lo Spirito.
5 Quelli infatti che vivono secondo la carne, pensano alle cose della carne; quelli invece che vivono secondo lo Spirito, alle cose dello Spirito. 6 Ma i desideri della carne portano alla morte, mentre i desideri dello Spirito portano alla vita e alla pace. 7 Infatti i desideri della carne sono in rivolta contro Dio, perché non si sottomettono alla sua legge e neanche lo potrebbero. 8 Quelli che vivono secondo la carne non possono piacere a Dio.
9 Voi però non siete sotto il dominio della carne, ma dello Spirito, dal momento che lo Spirito di Dio abita in voi. Se qualcuno non ha lo Spirito di Cristo, non gli appartiene. 10 E se Cristo è in voi, il vostro corpo è morto a causa del peccato, ma lo spirito è vita a causa della giustificazione. 11 E se lo Spirito di colui che ha risuscitato Gesù dai morti abita in voi, colui che ha risuscitato Cristo dai morti darà la vita anche ai vostri corpi mortali per mezzo del suo Spirito che abita in voi.
12 Così dunque fratelli, noi siamo debitori, ma non verso la carne per vivere secondo la carne; 13 poiché se vivete secondo la carne, voi morirete; se invece con l'aiuto dello Spirito voi fate morire le opere del corpo, vivrete.
Figli di Dio grazie allo Spirito
14 Tutti quelli infatti che sono guidati dallo Spirito di Dio, costoro sono figli di Dio. 15 E voi non avete ricevuto uno spirito da schiavi per ricadere nella paura, ma avete ricevuto uno spirito da figli adottivi per mezzo del quale gridiamo: «Abbà, Padre!». 16 Lo Spirito stesso attesta al nostro spirito che siamo figli di Dio. 17 E se siamo figli, siamo anche eredi: eredi di Dio, coeredi di Cristo, se veramente partecipiamo alle sue sofferenze per partecipare anche alla sua gloria.
Destinati alla gloria
18 Io ritengo, infatti, che le sofferenze del momento presente non sono paragonabili alla gloria futura che dovrà essere rivelata in noi.
19 La creazione stessa attende con impazienza la rivelazione dei figli di Dio; 20 essa infatti è stata sottomessa alla caducità - non per suo volere, ma per volere di colui che l'ha sottomessa - e nutre la speranza 21 di essere lei pure liberata dalla schiavitù della corruzione, per entrare nella libertà della gloria dei figli di Dio. 22 Sapppiamo bene infatti che tutta la creazione geme e soffre fino ad oggi nelle doglie del parto; 23 essa non è la sola, ma anche noi, che possediamo le primizie dello Spirito, gemiamo interiormente aspettando l'adozione a figli, la redenzione del nostro corpo. 24 Poiché nella speranza noi siamo stati salvati. Ora, ciò che si spera, se visto, non è più speranza; infatti, ciò che uno gia vede, come potrebbe ancora sperarlo? 25 Ma se speriamo quello che non vediamo, lo attendiamo con perseveranza.
26 Allo stesso modo anche lo Spirito viene in aiuto alla nostra debolezza, perché nemmeno sappiamo che cosa sia conveniente domandare, ma lo Spirito stesso intercede con insistenza per noi, con gemiti inesprimibili; 27 e colui che scruta i cuori sa quali sono i desideri dello Spirito, poiché egli intercede per i credenti secondo i disegni di Dio.
Il piano della salvezza
28 Del resto, noi sappiamo che tutto concorre al bene di coloro che amano Dio, che sono stati chiamati secondo il suo disegno. 29 Poiché quelli che egli da sempre ha conosciuto li ha anche predestinati ad essere conformi all'immagine del Figlio suo, perché egli sia il primogenito tra molti fratelli; 30 quelli poi che ha predestinati li ha anche chiamati; quelli che ha chiamati li ha anche giustificati; quelli che ha giustificati li ha anche glorificati.
Inno all'amore di Dio
31 Che diremo dunque in proposito? Se Dio è per noi, chi sarà contro di noi? 32 Egli che non ha risparmiato il proprio Figlio, ma lo ha dato per tutti noi, come non ci donerà ogni cosa insieme con lui? 33 Chi accuserà gli eletti di Dio? Dio giustifica. 34 Chi condannerà? Cristo Gesù, che è morto, anzi, che è risuscitato, sta alla destra di Dio e intercede per noi? 35 Chi ci separerà dunque dall'amore di Cristo? Forse la tribolazione, l'angoscia, la persecuzione, la fame, la nudità, il pericolo, la spada? 36 Proprio come sta scritto:
Per causa tua siamo messi a morte tutto il giorno,
siamo trattati come pecore da macello.
37 Ma in tutte queste cose noi siamo più che vincitori per virtù di colui che ci ha amati. 38 Io sono infatti persuaso che né morte né vita, né angeli né principati, né presente né avvenire, 39 né potenze, né altezza né profondità, né alcun'altra creatura potrà mai separarci dall'amore di Dio, in Cristo Gesù, nostro Signore.
