²³At^(A) hindi lamang ang sangnilikha, kundi tayong mga tumanggap na ng Espiritu bilang unang kaloob mula sa Diyos ay dumaraing din habang hinihintay natin ang paghahayag ng ating pagiging mga anak ng Diyos at ang pagpapalaya sa ating mga katawan. ²⁴Naligtas tayo dahil sa pag-asang ito. Ngunit hindi iyon matatawag na pag-asa kung nakikita na natin ang ating inaasahan. Sapagkat sinong tao ang aasa pa kung ito'y nakikita na niya? ²⁵Ngunit kung umaasa tayo sa hindi natin nakikita, hinihintay natin iyon nang buong tiyaga.

²³Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit,^(A) groan^(B) inwardly as we wait eagerly^(C) for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.^(D) ²⁴For in this hope we were saved.^(E) But hope that is seen is no hope at all.^(F) Who hopes for what they already have? ²⁵But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.^(G)
