³ Or do you not know that ^(A)as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus ^(B)were baptized into His death? ⁴ Therefore we were ^(C)buried with Him through baptism into death, that ^(D)just as Christ was raised from the dead by ^(E)the glory of the Father, ^(F)even so we also should walk in newness of life.

^5 (G)For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, ⁶ knowing this, that ^(H)our old man was crucified with Him, that ^(I)the body of sin might be ^[a]done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.

¹⁶ Do you not know that ^(A)to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?

^16 (A)Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

¹⁹ Or ^(A)do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, ^(B)and you are not your own?

⁵ Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, ^(A)that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you ^[a]are ^(B)disqualified.
