From Suffering to Glory

¹⁸ For I consider that ^(A)the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

¹⁷ For ^(A)our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, ^18 (B)while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

¹³ but rejoice ^(A)to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that ^(B)when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.

^5 (A)who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

^6 (B)In this you greatly rejoice, though now ^(C)for a little while, if need be, ^(D)you have been ^[a]grieved by various trials, ⁷ that ^(E)the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though ^(F)it is tested by fire, ^(G)may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

^11 (A)Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of ^(B)evil against you falsely for My sake. ^12 (C)Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for ^(D)so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

^24 [a]But ^(A)none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, ^(B)so that I may finish my ^[b]race with joy, ^(C)and the ministry ^(D)which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

^4 (A)When Christ who is ^(B)our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in ^(C)glory.

Living Before God Our Father

¹³ Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

² Beloved, ^(A)now we are children of God; and ^(B)it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, ^(C)we shall be like Him, for ^(D)we shall see Him as He is.
