^17 (A)And they caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire, ^(B)practiced witchcraft and soothsaying, and ^(C)sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.

²⁵ But ^(A)there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the Lord, ^(B)because Jezebel his wife ^[a]stirred him up.

²⁰ So Ahab said to Elijah, ^(A)“Have you found me, O my enemy?”

And he answered, “I have found you, because ^(B)you have sold yourself to do evil in the sight of the Lord:

¹⁸ For I know that ^(A)in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.

³ For thus says the Lord:

Purpose of the Mystery

⁸ To me, ^(A)who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles ^(B)the unsearchable riches of Christ,

²² For I ^(A)delight in the law of God according to ^(B)the inward man. ²³ But ^(C)I see another law in ^(D)my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. ²⁴ O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me ^(E)from this body of death?

²⁸ But I say to you that whoever ^(A)looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

²² But I say to you that ^(A)whoever is angry with his brother ^[a]without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ^(B)‘Raca!’^[b] shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ^[c]‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of ^[d]hell fire.
