⁸ Now ^(A)if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,

¹¹ This is a faithful saying:

^3 (A)For you died, ^(B)and your life is hidden with Christ in God. ^4 (C)When Christ who is ^(D)our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in ^(E)glory.

^10 (A)always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, ^(B)that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. ¹¹ For we who live ^(C)are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. ¹² So then death is working in us, but life in you.

¹³ And since we have ^(D)the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ^(E)“I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, ¹⁴ knowing that ^(F)He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you.

^4 (A)For though He was crucified in weakness, yet ^(B)He lives by the power of God. For ^(C)we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.

Indwelling of the Father and the Son

¹⁹ “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but ^(A)you will see Me. ^(B)Because I live, you will live also.

³ Or do you not know that ^(A)as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus ^(B)were baptized into His death? ⁴ Therefore we were ^(C)buried with Him through baptism into death, that ^(D)just as Christ was raised from the dead by ^(E)the glory of the Father, ^(F)even so we also should walk in newness of life.

^5 (G)For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,

¹⁴ For ^(A)if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him ^(B)those who ^[a]sleep in Jesus.

¹⁵ For this we say to you ^(C)by the word of the Lord, that ^(D)we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are ^[b]asleep. ¹⁶ For ^(E)the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with ^(F)the trumpet of God. ^(G)And the dead in Christ will rise first. ^17 (H)Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them ^(I)in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus ^(J)we shall always be with the Lord.
