⁸ Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.^(A)

¹¹ Here is a trustworthy saying:^(A)

³ For you died,^(A) and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ, who is your^[a] life,^(B) appears,^(C) then you also will appear with him in glory.^(D)

¹⁰ We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus,^(A) so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.^{(B) 11} For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake,^(C) so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. ¹² So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.^(D)

¹³ It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.”^[a](E) Since we have that same spirit of^[b] faith,^(F) we also believe and therefore speak, ¹⁴ because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead^(G) will also raise us with Jesus^(H) and present us with you to himself.^(I)

⁴ For to be sure, he was crucified in weakness,^(A) yet he lives by God’s power.^(B) Likewise, we are weak^(C) in him, yet by God’s power we will live with him^(D) in our dealing with you.

¹⁹ Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me.^(A) Because I live, you also will live.^(B)

³ Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized^(A) into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? ⁴ We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death^(B) in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead^(C) through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.^(D)

⁵ For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.^(E)

¹⁴ For we believe that Jesus died and rose again,^(A) and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.^{(B) 15} According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord,^(C) will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.^{(D) 16} For the Lord himself will come down from heaven,^(E) with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel^(F) and with the trumpet call of God,^(G) and the dead in Christ will rise first.^{(H) 17} After that, we who are still alive and are left^(I) will be caught up together with them in the clouds^(J) to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord^(K) forever.
