⁵ For ^(A)if we have been united with him in ^(B)a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.

^10 (A)that I may know him and ^(B)the power of his resurrection, and ^(C)may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, ¹¹ that by any means possible I may ^(D)attain the resurrection from the dead.

Put On the New Self

3 ^(A)If then you have been raised with Christ, seek ^(B)the things that are above, where Christ is, ^(C)seated at the right hand of God.

^12 (A)having been buried with him in baptism, in which ^(B)you were also raised with him through faith in ^(C)the powerful working of God, ^(D)who raised him from the dead.

^10 (A)always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, ^(B)so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.

⁸ Now ^(A)if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. ⁹ We know that ^(B)Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; ^(C)death no longer has dominion over him. ¹⁰ For the death he died he died to sin, ^(D)once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. ¹¹ So you also must consider yourselves ^(E)dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.

¹² Let not ^(F)sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions.

⁵ even ^(A)when we were dead in our trespasses, ^(B)made us alive together with Christ—^(C)by grace you have been saved— ⁶ and raised us up with him and ^(D)seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

I Am the True Vine

15 “I am the ^(A)true vine, and my Father is ^(B)the vinedresser. ^2 (C)Every branch in me that does not bear fruit ^(D)he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, ^(E)that it may bear more fruit. ³ Already ^(F)you are clean ^(G)because of the word that I have spoken to you. ^4 (H)Abide ^(I)in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. ⁵ I am the vine; ^(J)you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that ^(K)bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. ⁶ If anyone does not abide in me ^(L)he is thrown away like a branch and withers; ^(M)and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. ⁷ If ^(N)you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ^(O)ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. ^8 (P)By this my Father is glorified, that you ^(Q)bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.

²⁴ Truly, truly, I say to you, ^(A)unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.
