³ Or do you not know that ^(A)as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus ^(B)were baptized into His death? ⁴ Therefore we were ^(C)buried with Him through baptism into death, that ^(D)just as Christ was raised from the dead by ^(E)the glory of the Father, ^(F)even so we also should walk in newness of life.

^5 (G)For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, ⁶ knowing this, that ^(H)our old man was crucified with Him, that ^(I)the body of sin might be ^[a]done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. ⁷ For ^(J)he who has died has been ^[b]freed from sin. ⁸ Now ^(K)if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, ⁹ knowing that ^(L)Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. ¹⁰ For the death that He died, ^(M)He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, ^(N)He lives to God. ¹¹ Likewise you also, ^[c]reckon yourselves to be ^(O)dead indeed to sin, but ^(P)alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹⁴ For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that ^(A)if One died for all, then all died; ¹⁵ and He died for all, ^(B)that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

^16 (C)Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, ^(D)yet now we know Him thus no longer. ¹⁷ Therefore, if anyone ^(E)is in Christ, he is ^(F)a new creation; ^(G)old things have passed away; behold, all things have become ^(H)new.

²⁰ I have been ^(A)crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh ^(B)I live by faith in the Son of God, ^(C)who loved me and gave Himself for me.
