³ Do you not know that all of us ^(A)who have been baptized ^(B)into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

²⁷ For as many of you as ^(A)were baptized ^(B)into Christ have ^(C)put on Christ.

²⁰ I have been ^(A)crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives ^(B)in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, ^(C)who loved me and ^(D)gave himself for me. ²¹ I do not nullify the grace of God, for ^(E)if righteousness^[a] were through the law, ^(F)then Christ died for no purpose.

⁸ Now ^(A)if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.

¹³ For ^(A)in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—^(B)Jews or Greeks, slaves^[a] or free—and ^(C)all were made to drink of one Spirit.

⁴ We were ^(A)buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as ^(B)Christ was raised from the dead by ^(C)the glory of the Father, we too might walk in ^(D)newness of life.

⁵ For ^(E)if we have been united with him in ^(F)a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.

²¹ Baptism, which corresponds to this, ^(A)now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but ^(B)as an appeal to God for a good conscience, ^(C)through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

³⁸ And Peter said to them, ^(A)“Repent and ^(B)be baptized every one of you ^(C)in the name of Jesus Christ ^(D)for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive ^(E)the gift of the Holy Spirit.
