¹⁵ But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for ^(A)many.

^23 (A)For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁸ For ^(A)by grace you have been saved ^(B)through faith. And this is ^(C)not your own doing; ^(D)it is the gift of God,

¹² Therefore, just as ^(A)sin came into the world through one man, and ^(B)death through sin, and ^(C)so death spread to all men^[a] because ^(D)all sinned—

¹¹ And this is the testimony, that God gave us ^(A)eternal life, and ^(B)this life is in his Son.

^15 (A)Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!

¹⁶ And the free gift is not like the result of that one man's sin. For ^(A)the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought ^(B)justification. ¹⁷ For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness ^(C)reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

¹⁸ Therefore, as one trespass^[a] led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness^[b] leads to justification and life for ^(D)all men. ¹⁹ For as by the one man's ^(E)disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's ^(F)obedience the many will be made righteous. ²⁰ Now ^(G)the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, ^(H)grace abounded all the more,

¹⁴ I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of ^(A)the great tribulation. ^(B)They have washed their robes and ^(C)made them white ^(D)in the blood of the Lamb.
