Put on Christ

¹¹ And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time ^(A)to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

Serving for God’s Glory

⁷ But ^(A)the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.

⁵ You are all ^(A)sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. ^6 (B)Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but ^(C)let us watch and be ^[a]sober. ⁷ For ^(D)those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk ^(E)are drunk at night. ⁸ But let us who are of the day be sober, ^(F)putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

¹⁴ Therefore He says:

^35 (A)Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning— ³⁶ lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. ³⁷ And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”

^34 (A)Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; ^(B)for some do not have the knowledge of God. ^(C)I speak this to your shame.

The Day of the Lord

5 But concerning ^(A)the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. ² For you yourselves know perfectly that ^(B)the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. ³ For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then ^(C)sudden destruction comes upon them, ^(D)as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

¹³ Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for ^(A)new heavens and a ^(B)new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Be Steadfast

¹⁴ Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent ^(C)to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; ¹⁵ and consider that ^(D)the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you,

I Am Coming Quickly

²⁰ He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.”

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
