⁷ What then? ^(A)Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were ^(B)blinded.

⁴ whose minds ^(A)the god of this age ^(B)has blinded, who do not believe, lest ^(C)the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, ^(D)who is the image of God, should shine on them.

¹⁸ Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He ^(A)hardens.

²⁵ For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be ^(A)wise in your own ^[a]opinion, that ^(B)blindness in part has happened to Israel ^(C)until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

^5 (A)Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

¹⁰ and with all unrighteous deception among ^(A)those who perish, because they did not receive ^(B)the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And ^(C)for this reason God will send them strong delusion, ^(D)that they should believe the lie, ¹² that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but ^(E)had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Stand Fast

¹³ But we are ^[a]bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God ^(F)from the beginning ^(G)chose you for salvation ^(H)through ^[b]sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, ¹⁴ to which He called you by our gospel, for ^(I)the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

³¹ but Israel, ^(A)pursuing the law of righteousness, ^(B)has not attained to the law ^[a]of righteousness. ³² Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were, ^[b]by the works of the law. For ^(C)they stumbled at that stumbling stone.

⁴ just as ^(A)He chose us in Him ^(B)before the foundation of the world, that we should ^(C)be holy and without blame before Him in love,

¹⁴ But ^(A)their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ.
