¹³ I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles,^(A) I take pride in my ministry

¹⁵ But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument^(A) to proclaim my name to the Gentiles^(B) and their kings^(C) and to the people of Israel.

¹¹ And of this gospel^(A) I was appointed^(B) a herald and an apostle and a teacher.^{(C) 12} That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame,^(D) because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard^(E) what I have entrusted to him until that day.^(F)

⁷ And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying^(A)—and a true and faithful teacher^(B) of the Gentiles.^(C)

⁸ Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people,^(A) this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles^(B) the boundless riches of Christ,^(C)

⁷ On the contrary, they recognized that I had been entrusted with the task^(A) of preaching the gospel to the uncircumcised,^[a](B) just as Peter^(C) had been to the circumcised.^{[b] 8} For God, who was at work in Peter as an apostle^(D) to the circumcised, was also at work in me as an apostle^(E) to the Gentiles. ⁹ James,^(F) Cephas^[c](G) and John, those esteemed as pillars,^(H) gave me and Barnabas^(I) the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me.^(J) They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles,^(K) and they to the circumcised.

¹⁶ to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles,^(A) my immediate response was not to consult any human being.^(B)

¹⁶ to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles.^(A) He gave me the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God,^(B) so that the Gentiles might become an offering^(C) acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

¹⁷ Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus^(D) in my service to God.^{(E) 18} I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles^(F) to obey God^(G) by what I have said and done— ¹⁹ by the power of signs and wonders,^(H) through the power of the Spirit of God.^(I) So from Jerusalem^(J) all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.^(K)

² I went in response to a revelation^(A) and, meeting privately with those esteemed as leaders, I presented to them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles.^(B) I wanted to be sure I was not running and had not been running my race^(C) in vain.
