Israel’s Rejection Not Final

¹¹ I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But ^(A)through their ^[a]fall, to provoke them to ^(B)jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles.

³¹ even so these also have now been disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy.

¹² Now if their ^[a]fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!

⁴⁶ Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, ^(A)“It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but ^(B)since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, ^(C)we turn to the Gentiles. ⁴⁷ For so the Lord has commanded us:

⁴⁸ Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord. ^(E)And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.

¹⁹ But I say, did Israel not know? First Moses says:

¹⁴ if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and ^(A)save some of them.

²⁴ And ^(A)some were persuaded by the things which were spoken, and some disbelieved. ²⁵ So when they did not agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had said one word: “The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to ^[a]our fathers, ²⁶ saying,

²⁸ “Therefore let it be known to you that the salvation of God has been sent ^(C)to the Gentiles, and they will hear it!”

⁶ But ^(A)when they opposed him and blasphemed, ^(B)he shook his garments and said to them, ^(C)“Your blood be upon your own heads; ^(D)I am clean. ^(E)From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

Israel’s Rejection Not Total

11 I say then, ^(A)has God cast away His people? ^(B)Certainly not! For ^(C)I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
