The Remnant of Israel

11 I ask, then, ^(A)has God rejected his people? By no means! For ^(B)I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham,^[a] a member of the tribe of Benjamin.

²² Are they Hebrews? ^(A)So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they offspring of Abraham? So am I.

^22 (A)For the Lord will not forsake his people, ^(B)for his great name's sake, because ^(C)it has pleased the Lord to make you a people for himself.

^5 (A)circumcised on the eighth day, ^(B)of the people of Israel, ^(C)of the tribe of Benjamin, ^(D)a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law, ^(E)a Pharisee;

²⁴ “Have you not observed that these people are saying, ‘The Lord has rejected the two clans that he chose’? Thus they have despised my people so that they are no longer a nation in their sight. ²⁵ Thus says the Lord: ^(A)If I have not established my covenant with day and night and the fixed order of heaven and earth, ²⁶ then I will reject the offspring of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his offspring to rule over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. ^(B)For I will restore their fortunes and will have mercy on them.”

^4 (A)“My manner of life from my youth, spent from the beginning among ^(B)my own nation and in Jerusalem, is known by all the Jews.

^3 (A)“I am a Jew, born in Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city, educated ^(B)at the feet of ^(C)Gamaliel^{[a] (D)}according to the strict manner of the law of our fathers, ^(E)being zealous for God ^(F)as all of you are this day.
