²⁶ For this reason ^(A)God gave them up to ^(B)dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; ²⁷ and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, ^(C)men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

²⁸ And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, ^(D)God gave them up to ^(E)a debased mind to do ^(F)what ought not to be done. ²⁹ They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, ³⁰ slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, ³¹ foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.

¹⁹ Now ^(A)the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, ²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, ^(B)divisions, ²¹ envy,^[a] drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that ^(C)those who do^[b] such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

² For people will be ^(A)lovers of self, ^(B)lovers of money, ^(C)proud, ^(D)arrogant, abusive, ^(E)disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, ^3 (F)heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, ^(G)not loving good, ⁴ treacherous, reckless, ^(H)swollen with conceit, ^(I)lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
