God's Wrath on Unrighteousness

¹⁸ For ^(A)the wrath of God ^(B)is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.

^6 (A)Let no one ^(B)deceive you with empty words, for because of these things ^(C)the wrath of God comes upon ^(D)the sons of disobedience.

Some Will Depart from the Faith

4 Now ^(A)the Spirit expressly says that ^(B)in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to ^(C)deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, ² through the insincerity of ^(D)liars whose consciences are seared,

³² Though they know ^(A)God's righteous decree that those who practice such things ^(B)deserve to die, they not only do them but ^(C)give approval to those who practice them.

^6 (A)On account of these the wrath of God is coming.^[a]

¹⁰ and with all wicked deception for ^(A)those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

^13 (A)Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but ^(B)present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.

⁹ Since, therefore, ^(A)we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from ^(B)the wrath of God.

¹⁵ For ^(A)the law brings wrath, but ^(B)where there is no law ^(C)there is no transgression.

^19 (A)And this is the judgment: ^(B)the light has come into the world, and ^(C)people loved the darkness rather than the light because ^(D)their works were evil. ^20 (E)For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, ^(F)lest his works should be exposed. ²¹ But whoever ^(G)does what is true ^(H)comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”
