^14 (A)I am under obligation both to Greeks and to ^(B)barbarians,^[a] both to the wise and to the foolish.

¹⁶ For if I preach the gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For ^(A)necessity is laid upon me. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! ¹⁷ For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward, but if not of my own will, I am still entrusted with ^(B)a stewardship. ¹⁸ What then is my reward? That in my preaching ^(C)I may present the gospel free of charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

¹⁹ For ^(D)though I am free from all, ^(E)I have made myself a servant to all, that I might ^(F)win more of them. ^20 (G)To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law. ²¹ To ^(H)those outside the law I became ^(I)as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but ^(J)under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. ^22 (K)To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. ^(L)I have become all things to all people, that ^(M)by all means I might save some. ²³ I do it all for the sake of the gospel, ^(N)that I may share with them in its blessings.

^11 (A)Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave,^[a] free; but Christ is ^(B)all, and in all.

¹⁵ But the Lord said to him, “Go, for ^(A)he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name ^(B)before the Gentiles and ^(C)kings and the children of Israel.

^17 (A)delivering you from your people and from the Gentiles—^(B)to whom I ^(C)am sending you ^18 (D)to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from ^(E)the power of Satan to God, that they may receive ^(F)forgiveness of sins and ^(G)a place among those who are sanctified ^(H)by faith in me.’

²¹ And he said to me, ‘Go, for I will send you ^(A)far away to the Gentiles.’”

¹⁷ But ^(A)the wisdom from above is first pure, then ^(B)peaceable, gentle, open to reason, ^(C)full of mercy and good fruits, ^(D)impartial and ^(E)sincere. ¹⁸ And ^(F)a harvest of righteousness ^(G)is sown in peace by those who make peace.

^15 (A)Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, ^16 (B)making the best use of the time, because ^(C)the days are evil. ¹⁷ Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what ^(D)the will of the Lord is.

¹⁹ For you gladly bear with fools, ^(A)being wise yourselves!
