¹⁷ So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

⁶ And ^(A)He marveled because of their unbelief. ^(B)Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching.

¹⁰ When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!

^18 (A)I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and ^(B)will put My words in His mouth, ^(C)and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. ^19 (D)And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him.

John the Baptist Sends Messengers to Jesus^(A)

^18 (B)Then the disciples of John reported to him concerning all these things. ¹⁹ And John, calling two of his disciples to him, sent them to ^[a]Jesus, saying, “Are You ^(C)the Coming One, or ^[b]do we look for another?”

²⁰ When the men had come to Him, they said, “John the Baptist has sent us to You, saying, ‘Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?’ ” ²¹ And that very hour He cured many of ^[c]infirmities, afflictions, and evil spirits; and to many blind He gave sight.

^22 (D)Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: ^(E)that the blind ^(F)see, the lame ^(G)walk, the lepers are ^(H)cleansed, the deaf ^(I)hear, the dead are raised, ^(J)the poor have the gospel preached to them. ²³ And blessed is he who is not ^[d]offended because of Me.”
