6 Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets(A) prepared to sound them.
7 The first angel(B) sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire(C) mixed with blood, and it was hurled down on the earth. A third(D) of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.(E)

6 Now[a] the seven angels holding[b] the seven trumpets prepared to blow them.
7 The[c] first angel blew his trumpet, and there was hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was thrown at the earth so that[d] a third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.
