⁷ When he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come.”^{[a] 8} And I looked, and there was a pale green horse. And its rider was named Death, and the Grave^[b] followed closely behind him. They were given power over a quarter of the earth, to kill people with the sword, with famine, with death, and by the wild animals of the earth.
