The Second Seal: War
3 When He broke the second seal, I heard the (A)second living creature saying, “Come[a]!” 4 And another, (B)a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to (C)take peace from the earth, and that people would kill one another; and a large sword was given to him.
The Third Seal: Famine
5 When He broke the third seal, I heard the (D)third living creature saying, “Come[b]!” I looked, and behold, a (E)black horse, and the one who sat on it had a (F)pair of scales in his hand.

4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

3 When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature(A) say, “Come!” 4 Then another horse came out, a fiery red one.(B) Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth(C) and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword.
5 When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature(D) say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse!(E) Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.
