The Throne in Heaven
4 After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open(A) in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet(B) said, “Come up here,(C) and I will show you what must take place after this.”(D) 2 At once I was in the Spirit,(E) and there before me was a throne in heaven(F) with someone sitting on it. 3 And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper(G) and ruby.(H) A rainbow(I) that shone like an emerald(J) encircled the throne. 4 Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders.(K) They were dressed in white(L) and had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder.(M) In front of the throne, seven lamps(N) were blazing. These are the seven spirits[a](O) of God. 6 Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass,(P) clear as crystal.
In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures,(Q) and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back.(R) 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle.(S) 8 Each of the four living creatures(T) had six wings(U) and was covered with eyes all around,(V) even under its wings. Day and night(W) they never stop saying:
9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne(Z) and who lives for ever and ever,(AA) 10 the twenty-four elders(AB) fall down before him(AC) who sits on the throne(AD) and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

A Door into Heaven
4 Then I looked, and, oh!—a door open into Heaven. The trumpet-voice, the first voice in my vision, called out, “Ascend and enter. I’ll show you what happens next.”
2-6 I was caught up at once in deep worship and, oh!—a Throne set in Heaven with One Seated on the Throne, suffused in gem hues of amber and flame with a nimbus of emerald. Twenty-four thrones circled the Throne, with Twenty-four Elders seated, white-robed, gold-crowned. Lightning flash and thunder crash pulsed from the Throne. Seven fire-blazing torches fronted the Throne (these are the Sevenfold Spirit of God). Before the Throne it was like a clear crystal sea.
6-8 Prowling around the Throne were Four Animals, all eyes. Eyes to look ahead, eyes to look behind. The first Animal like a lion, the second like an ox, the third with a human face, the fourth like an eagle in flight. The Four Animals were winged, each with six wings. They were all eyes, seeing around and within. And they chanted night and day, never taking a break:
Holy, holy, holy
Is God our Master, Sovereign-Strong,
The Was, The Is, The Coming.
9-11 Every time the Animals gave glory and honor and thanks to the One Seated on the Throne—the age-after-age Living One—the Twenty-four Elders would fall prostrate before the One Seated on the Throne. They worshiped the age-after-age Living One. They threw their crowns at the foot of the Throne, chanting,
Worthy, O Master! Yes, our God!
Take the glory! the honor! the power!
You created it all;
It was created because you wanted it.

2 Immediately (D)I was in the Spirit; and behold, (E)a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. 3 [a]And He who sat there was (F)like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; (G)and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. 4 (H)Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, (I)clothed in white [b]robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 And from the throne proceeded (J)lightnings, [c]thunderings, and voices. (K)Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are (L)the[d] seven Spirits of God.
6 Before the throne there [e]was (M)a sea of glass, like crystal. (N)And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. 7 (O)The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. 8 The four living creatures, each having (P)six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying:
9 Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, (T)who lives forever and ever, 10 (U)the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:
11 “You(V) are worthy, [g]O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
(W)For You created all things,
And by (X)Your will they [h]exist and were created.”

9 Sa herë që qeniet e gjalla i japin lavdi, nder e të falenderim atij që rri ulur mbi fron, atij që rron në shekuj të shekujve,
10 të njëzet e katër pleq bien përmbys përpara atij që rri mbi fron dhe adhurojnë atë që jeton në shekuj të shekujve dhe i hedhin kurorat e tyre përpara fronit, duke thënë:

4 Потом я посмотрел и увидел перед собой открытую дверь в небеса и услышал тот первый голос, напоминающий звук трубы, который говорил со мной. Голос сказал мне:
– Поднимись сюда, и я покажу тебе, что произойдет потом.
2 Сразу же я был в духе, и вот передо мной стоит трон на небесах, а на троне сидит Некто. 3 Сидящий на троне блестел, как драгоценный камень яшма, или сердолик, и над Ним была радуга, напоминающая изумруд[a]. 4 Вокруг этого трона стоят еще двадцать четыре трона, на которых сидят двадцать четыре старца, одетые в белые одежды, с золотыми венцами на головах. 5 От трона исходят молнии, голоса и громы. Перед троном горят семь факелов – это семь Божьих духов, 6 и еще перед ним разливается нечто наподобие стеклянного, искрящегося, как кристалл, моря[b].
В самом центре, вокруг трона, находятся четыре живых существа, у которых множество глаз, спереди и сзади. 7 Первое существо похоже на льва, второе – на быка, лицо третьего похоже на человеческое, а четвертое существо напоминает летящего орла[c]. 8 У каждого из четырех существ по шесть крыльев и множество глаз, которые находятся у них со всех сторон и даже под крыльями. Они без устали день и ночь повторяют:
– Свят, свят, свят
Господь, Бог Вседержитель[d],
Тот, Кто был, Кто есть и Кто придет!
9 И когда эти живые существа воздают Сидящему на троне и Живущему вечно славу, честь и благодарность, 10 двадцать четыре старца всякий раз падают перед Сидящим на троне, поклоняются вечно Живущему и складывают свои венцы перед Ним, говоря:
11 – Наш Господь и Бог, Ты достоин
принять славу, честь и власть,
потому что все создано Тобой:
по Твоей воле сотворено и существует!
