^3 (A)Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and ^(B)repent. ^(C)Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you ^(D)as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.

¹⁰ But ^(A)the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which ^(B)the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be ^[a]burned up.

5 But concerning ^(A)the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. ² For you yourselves know perfectly that ^(B)the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. ³ For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then ^(C)sudden destruction comes upon them, ^(D)as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. ^4 (E)But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.

⁵ For ^(A)many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ ^(B)and will deceive many.

¹¹ Then ^(A)many false prophets will rise up and ^(B)deceive many.

^13 (A)But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

²¹ For ^(A)then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.

²⁴ For ^(A)false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, ^(B)if possible, even the elect. ²⁵ See, I have told you beforehand.

^35 (A)Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
