22 And he showed to me a river of quick water, shining as crystal, coming forth of the seat of God, and of the lamb, [And he showed to me a flood of quick water, shining as crystal, coming forth of the seat of God, and of the lamb.]

And on each side of the river, the tree of life, bringing forth twelve fruits, yielding his fruit by each month; and the leaves of the tree be to healing of folks. 3 And each cursed thing shall no more be; but the seats of God and of the lamb shall be in it. And the servants of him shall serve him.

5 And night shall no more be, and they shall not have need to the light of a lantern, neither to light of the sun; for the Lord God shall lighten them [And night shall no more be, and they shall not have need to light of lantern, neither to light of the sun; for the Lord God shall light them], and they shall reign into worlds of worlds.
6 And he said to me, These words be most faithful and true. And the Lord God of spirits of prophets sent his angel [And the Lord God of spirits prophets sent his angel], to show to his servants, what things it behooveth to be done soon.
7 And lo! I come swiftly. Blessed is he, that keepeth the words of prophecy of this book.
8 And I am John, that heard and saw these things. And after that I had heard and seen, I felled down [I fell down], to worship before the feet of the angel, that showed to me these things.
9 And he said to me, See thou, that thou do not; for I am a servant with thee [And he said to me, See that thou do not; for I am thine even-servant], and of thy brethren, prophets, and of them that keep the words of prophecy of this book; worship thou God.
10 And he said to me, Sign, or seal, thou not the words of prophecy of this book; for the time is nigh.
11 He that harmeth, harm he yet; and he that is in filths, wax he foul yet; and a just man, be justified yet [and he that is just, be he yet justified]; and the holy, be [he] hallowed yet.
12 Lo! I come soon, and my meed with me, to yield to each man after his works.
13 I am alpha and omega, the first and the last, beginning and end.
14 Blessed be they, that wash their stoles, that the power of them be in the tree of life, and enter by the gates into the city.
15 For withoutforth [shall be shut] hounds, and witches, and unchaste men, and man-quellers, and serving to idols, and each that loveth and maketh lying.
16 I Jesus sent mine angel, to witness to you these things in churches. I am the root and kin of David [I am the root and kind of David], and the shining morrow star.
17 And the Spirit and the spousess say [and the spouse, or wife, say], Come thou. And he that heareth, say, Come thou; and he that thirsteth, come; and he that will, take he freely the water of life [and he that will, take freely the water of life].
18 And I witness to each man hearing the words of prophecy of this book, if any man shall put to these things, God shall put on him the vengeances written in this book [God shall put upon him the plagues written in this book].
19 And if any man do away of the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away the part of him from the book of life, and from the holy city, and from these things that be written in this book.
20 He saith, that beareth witnessing of these things, Yea, Amen. [Lo!] I come soon. Amen. Come thou, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

The River of Life
22 Then the angel[a] showed me (A)the river of (B)the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 through the middle of (C)the street of the city; (D)also, on either side of the river, (E)the tree of life[b] with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were (F)for the healing of the nations. 3 (G)No longer will there be anything accursed, but (H)the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and (I)his servants will worship him. 4 (J)They will see his face, and (K)his name will be on their foreheads. 5 And (L)night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp (M)or sun, for (N)the Lord God will be their light, and (O)they will reign forever and ever.
Jesus Is Coming
6 And he said to me, (P)“These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of (Q)the spirits of the prophets, (R)has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.”
7 “And behold, (S)I am coming soon. (T)Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
8 I, (U)John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, (V)I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, 9 (W)but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those (X)who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”
10 And he said to me, (Y)“Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. 11 (Z)Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy.”
12 “Behold, (AA)I am coming soon, (AB)bringing my recompense with me, (AC)to repay each one for what he has done. 13 (AD)I am the Alpha and the Omega, (AE)the first and the last, (AF)the beginning and the end.”
14 Blessed are those who (AG)wash their robes,[c] so that they may have the right to (AH)the tree of life and that (AI)they may enter the city by the gates. 15 (AJ)Outside are (AK)the dogs (AL)and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
16 (AM)“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things (AN)for the churches. I am (AO)the root and (AP)the descendant of David, (AQ)the bright morning star.”
17 The Spirit and (AR)the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And (AS)let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the (AT)water of life without price.
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: (AU)if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in (AV)the tree of life and in (AW)the holy city, which are described in this book.
20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely (AX)I am coming soon.” Amen. (AY)Come, Lord Jesus!
21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.[d] Amen.

22 Et il me montra un fleuve d’eau de la vie, limpide comme du cristal, qui sortait du trône de Dieu et de l’Agneau. 2 Au milieu de la place de la ville et sur les deux bords du fleuve, il y avait un arbre de vie, produisant douze fois des fruits, rendant son fruit chaque mois, et dont les feuilles servaient à la guérison des nations. 3 Il n’y aura plus d’anathème. Le trône de Dieu et de l’Agneau sera dans la ville; ses serviteurs le serviront 4 et verront sa face, et son nom sera sur leur front. 5 Il n’y aura plus de nuit; et ils n’auront besoin ni de lampe ni de lumière, parce que le Seigneur Dieu les éclairera. Et ils régneront aux siècles des siècles.
Conclusion; dernier message de la Bible
6 Et il me dit: Ces paroles sont certaines et véritables; et le Seigneur, le Dieu des esprits des prophètes, a envoyé son ange pour montrer à ses serviteurs les choses qui doivent arriver bientôt. 7 Et voici, je viens bientôt. Heureux celui qui garde les paroles de la prophétie de ce livre!
8 C’est moi Jean, qui ai entendu et vu ces choses. Et quand j’eus entendu et vu, je tombai aux pieds de l’ange qui me les montrait, pour l’adorer. 9 Mais il me dit: Garde-toi de le faire! Je suis ton compagnon de service, et celui de tes frères les prophètes, et de ceux qui gardent les paroles de ce livre. Adore Dieu.
10 Et il me dit: Ne scelle point les paroles de la prophétie de ce livre. Car le temps est proche. 11 Que celui qui est injuste soit encore injuste, que celui qui est souillé se souille encore; et que le juste pratique encore la justice, et que celui qui est saint se sanctifie encore. 12 Voici, je viens bientôt, et ma rétribution est avec moi, pour rendre à chacun selon son œuvre. 13 Je suis l’alpha et l’oméga, le premier et le dernier[a], le commencement et la fin. 14 Heureux ceux qui lavent leurs robes, afin d’avoir droit à l’arbre de vie, et d’entrer par les portes dans la ville! 15 Dehors les chiens, les magiciens, les débauchés, les meurtriers, les idolâtres, et quiconque aime et pratique le mensonge! 16 Moi Jésus, j’ai envoyé mon ange pour vous attester ces choses dans les Eglises. Je suis le rejeton et la postérité de David, l’étoile brillante du matin.
17 Et l’Esprit et l’épouse disent: Viens. Et que celui qui entend dise: Viens. Et que celui qui a soif vienne; que celui qui veut prenne de l’eau de la vie, gratuitement.
18 Je le déclare à quiconque entend les paroles de la prophétie de ce livre: Si quelqu’un y ajoute quelque chose, Dieu le frappera des fléaux décrits dans ce livre; 19 et si quelqu’un retranche quelque chose des paroles du livre de cette prophétie, Dieu retranchera sa part de l’arbre de la vie et de la ville sainte, décrits dans ce livre.
20 Celui qui atteste ces choses dit: Oui, je viens bientôt.
Amen! Viens, Seigneur Jésus!
21 Que la grâce du Seigneur Jésus soit avec tous!
